After being in the automotive paint business since 1946, we've seen a vast spectrum of Kolor. It all began with Tampico Red on the 1949 Mercury, and we've since evolved from offering just a few solid shades to offering 2-, 3-, and even 4-stage Kolors with tinted candy mid-coats.

Years later, Chevrolet reintroduced the Camaro, and Dodge followed suit with the Challenger, both packed with hundreds of horsepower. Muscle car aficionados from yesteryear returned, this time adding fuel injection and ramping up their rides to 800+ horsepower using advanced computer technology and 6- to 10-speed transmissions. Meanwhile, car colors became increasingly muted for many, but now we’re starting to see a resurgence of vibrant shades. Candy-tinted clear mid-coats are making a comeback from auto manufacturers—exciting times for color enthusiasts like us.
